Miscellaneous Doodads I've Made

MOOLauncher

MOOLauncher is a Mac OS X application that makes running a lambdaMOO-based MOO (Multi-user dungeon: Object-Oriented) more user friendly. I just got tired of using the restart script included in lambdaMOO 1.8.1, since it always uses the same file names. This app will keep the log visible in a text view, and offers start/stop buttons to run the executable. There's a function in the prefs to set the name of new databases, and it's pretty straightforward to use.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3.x or later

DieRoller

DieRoller is a Newton package to simulate rolling polyhedral dice. It can roll all regular die sizes, plus 2-sided dice (coin tosses).

Requirements: An Apple Newton (not sure what OS, though)

HistoryHappens

HistoryHappens is a simple little application that reports on historical and significant events.

Requirements: PowerMac with MacOS 7.5 or higher or Mac OS X with Classic support

Fractal

This is a simple application which draws a Mandelbrot set fractal in a 1024x768 window. It is optimized for Altivec, on those machines that have it, but can use the regular floating point unit on a G4 if the mouse is in the top left corner of the screen as fractal opens.

Requirements: MacOS 7.5 to 9.x with 16 or 32 bit colour, and a 1024x768 screen size (does not work with Mac OS X)
